The setting is lovely, so little wonder it's still a popular spot for weddings, banquets, and other events. Yet chef Jeff Crump has turned this old-time country spot into a go-to destination for Toronto diners who love hearty, honest fare that celebrates the best of the local season. Pigs are roasted whole, the lamb rack is quite perfect, vegetables are turned into gnocchi and rich sides, and the desserts are simply splendid.
