I don't know Big Mamma, but I can tell you that her boy can cook. This Cabbagetown find is located in a restored 19th-century manor house, but while the interior rooms are stately (sweeping ceilings, Corinthian columns, and grand archways), the atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming. There's also a patio for fair-weather dining. Best of all there's a long menu with something for everyone. Big Mamma's Boy is justly famous for its pizzas (I love the Acropolis, with its goat cheese, garlic, kalamata olive, and hot capicolla), and they're available on gluten-free pies, which is one reason why the restaurant is beloved by people with celiac disease or wheat allergies.
