Windsor Arms Hotel ReviewIt's a tiny and very tony property with a condo tower on top. The Windsor Arms once held the only five-star status in town and has had its ups and downs. But for years, it's been known as a dignified and exclusive destination with just 28 rooms, almost all of which are suites. The rooms range from 46 to 139 sq. m (500-1,500 sq. ft.) and are outfitted with top-line linens and amenities. The clubby atmosphere combines with attentive service. A salt-water pool with a poolside fireplace, part of the excellent spa, is a bonus. The restaurants are equally high-end and the afternoon tea suitably elegant. | 3 stars | Frommer's Exceptional |
Frommer's ranks every hotel, restaurant, attraction, shop, and nightlife establishment it reviews for quality, value, service, amenities, and special features using a star-rating scale, an expression of the strong compare-and-contrast opinions that are a brand hallmark.
Other ratings provide stars based primarily on price and amenities; the Frommer's star rating is meant to quantify the kind of intangible, experiential elements that help travelers make informed decisions.
The "baseline" recommendation is zero stars--every hotel, restaurant, attraction, shop, and nightlife establishment that Frommer's chooses to review is recommended; otherwise, we simply wouldn't include it.
