Frommer's Review
Off Dundas Street West, the hotel is a 5-minute stroll north of the business district and about 2 minutes west of the Eaton Centre. But why walk when you can take advantage of the complimentary limo service to any downtown core address? That perk is just one of the ways in which the Metropolitan attempts to compete with its pricier competitors. Rooms are spacious and designed with comfort in mind, featuring Italian linens, down duvets, and individual climate control. My favorite detail is that you can open the windows if you like, which makes this hotel a rarity in Toronto. The two restaurants are huge draws. Lai Wah Heen, which serves classic Cantonese cuisine, is a top choice for business entertaining among natives as well as visitors. The modern-style ground-floor Hemispheres restaurant offers a Continental menu. Also, the Metropolitan has a partnership with the Toronto Symphony Orchestra, which offers guests special packages.
Facilities:
2 restaurants; bar; indoor pool; health club; Jacuzzi; sauna; concierge; courtesy limo; 24-hr. business center (w/PCs and Macs); Wi-Fi; room service; massage; babysitting; same-day laundry service/dry cleaning

Frommer's ranks every hotel, restaurant, attraction, shop, and nightlife establishment it reviews for quality, value, service, amenities, and special features using a star-rating scale, an expression of the strong compare-and-contrast opinions that are a brand hallmark.
Other ratings provide stars based primarily on price and amenities; the Frommer's star rating is meant to quantify the kind of intangible, experiential elements that help travelers make informed decisions.
The "baseline" recommendation is zero stars--every hotel, restaurant, attraction, shop, and nightlife establishment that Frommer's chooses to review is recommended; otherwise, we simply wouldn't include it.
