Frommer's Review
The blinding-white facade of this building suggests that some architect mistook Toronto for the Tropics. No matter -- its location is hot, with the Theater District, gourmet ghetto, Chinatown, and The Rogers Centre nearby. It's also close to the Financial District, which explains the mix of business travelers and vacationers. Half the floors are office space; guest rooms start at the ninth floor and go up to the 20th. The good-size, pastel-colored rooms are vintage Holiday Inn.
The hotel has a special program for female corporate travelers called STAYassured, which includes features such as room placement (close to elevators), an escort to the underground parking garage, and a discount on in-room spa services. Two percent of STAYassured room revenues are donated to the Rotman School of Business at the University of Toronto -- they're earmarked for scholarships for female students.
