The Strathcona ReviewIf you want to be in the Financial District but don't want to pay a bundle, this is a good option. For years, the Strathcona has offered fair deals, and a recent renovation has made it more attractive. It sits in the shadow of the Fairmont Royal York, a short walk from most major downtown attractions. Although the Strathcona's rooms are on the small side, they're no less comfortable for their compact design. Lately, the hotel has taken some green initiatives, changing its lighting, reducing water usage, and becoming entirely smoke-free.
