Four Seasons Hotel Toronto ReviewAlthough its days are numbered in this location -- the new Four Seasons opens mid-2012 -- the legend lives on. The Rolling Stones call this home in Toronto, and during the Toronto International Film Festival, you can't get in for love or money. The hotel, in the ritzy Yorkville district, has earned a reputation for offering fine service and complete comfort. Rooms tend to be on the small side (a standard is only about 30 sq. m/323 sq. ft.) and are by now a bit tired. Corner rooms have charming balconies offering great views of the street scene below. Take a window seat at the Avenue bar off the lobby for the serious sport of people-watching; you never know who might walk by. | 3 stars | Frommer's Exceptional |
Frommer's ranks every hotel, restaurant, attraction, shop, and nightlife establishment it reviews for quality, value, service, amenities, and special features using a star-rating scale, an expression of the strong compare-and-contrast opinions that are a brand hallmark.
Other ratings provide stars based primarily on price and amenities; the Frommer's star rating is meant to quantify the kind of intangible, experiential elements that help travelers make informed decisions.
The "baseline" recommendation is zero stars--every hotel, restaurant, attraction, shop, and nightlife establishment that Frommer's chooses to review is recommended; otherwise, we simply wouldn't include it.
