Created in a moment of whimsy by the owners of the more upscale Brandywine Bay Restaurant, this local favorite is small, casual, and laid-back. It's the most authentic-looking Italian cafe in the Virgin Islands. At breakfast time, many locals stop in for an Italian pastry along with a cappuccino, or even a full breakfast. If it's evening, you might try the mango Bellini, a variation of the famous champagne-based cocktail served at Harry's Bar in Venice. Begin with such appetizers as piedini (flour tortillas with various toppings), then move on to a selection of fresh pastas, the best pizzas on the island, or the well-stuffed sandwiches. We prefer the pizza topped with grilled eggplant. If you arrive on the right night, you might be treated to stuffed Cornish hen with scalloped potatoes.
