Frommer's Review
This landmark hotel is gradually being rebuilt, work to be completed sometime during the life of this edition. Despite construction, the hotel is still receiving guests. Currently, it is offering an introductory rate which will almost certainly be raised sometime in 2008 as work nears completion. The great location, of course, will remain the same, lying at the edge of Road Town on 6 hectares (15 acres) of hillside, overlooking a yacht-clogged marina (not the beach). Accommodations are rented with either water or garden views. All rooms have double or king-size beds, as well as Internet access. Rooms are being designed with balconies or else private terraces on the hillside. The on-site Verandah Restaurant has been massively expanded to 250 seats and air-conditioned. The chefs are still serving Caribbean dishes but the new menu has more of an international flair.
Facilities:
Restaurant; bar; pool; watersports equipment; room service; laundry service; dry cleaning; nonsmoking rooms; rooms for those w/limited mobility
