This simple but comfortable hotel, formerly the Hotel Campeol, sits smack in the center of town, on a little street off the main drag a half-block from the Palazzo Podestà. Rooms vary in size and decor, with pleasant-enough wood furnishings that match the step-gabled plank headboards. Three of the largest rooms come with three beds: no. 29 has a small sitting area, no. 30 sits in the narrow end of the buildings with windows on three sides overlooking a canal, and the similar no. 34 lies directly above no. 30 on the top floor, so its windows feature views over two canals and the rooftops. Its location is far superior to that of the Continental , though it's not as nicely appointed.
