Nuovo Albergo Centro

New ownership has made this formerly down-at-the-heels pensione very livable while maintaining the low prices and simple comforts, including Internet access in each room and private bathrooms. Rooms have firm orthopedic beds, modular furnishings, high ceilings, and linoleum-that-looks-like-wood floors. The shared bathrooms (four showers, six toilets) are of recent vintage, and a wide spot in the hall contains a small sitting area with TV. The Centro occupies a floor of a large building about midway between the train station and the Piazza dell'Unità d'Italia, and it is less than a 10-minute walk from either.
