Frommer's Review
This home is in the suburb of Andalusia in the cool and scenic Maraval neighborhood, about a 15-minute ride from the central business district and a 45-minute ride to Maracas Beach, the most popular sand strip on island. It's owned by Winston and Carnetta Borrell -- both have a wealth of information about touring the island (he was a former director of tourism) and both are keen naturalists. Winston is a gardener, filling his property with orchids, ginger lilies, and anthuriums, among other plant life. Carnetta grows her own herbs to produce some of the finest meals around. The rooms have floral themes and are furnished in a tropical style. For the most privacy, request a guest room on the upper floor. Our preferred nest is Le Flamboyant, opening onto the little inn's patio. Most of the rooms are medium in size, and each has a small and immaculately maintained bathroom with shower.
Facilities:
Restaurant; bar; limited room service; laundry service; nonsmoking rooms
