Introduction to Trouville

Across the Touques River from the fashionable (and expensive) Deauville, Trouville feels more like a fishing port. The town is like Honfleur, but with fewer boutiques and art galleries. Don't expect the grand atmosphere of Deauville; Trouville is more low-key. It's also less dependent on resort euros; when the bathers leave its splendid sands, Trouville continues to thrive -- its resident population of fishermen sees to that.
