Getting There from Çanakkale
By Bus -- Dolmuses depart from under the bridge in Çanakkale. The ride takes approximately 35 minutes and costs 2.5YTL ($2.20/£1).
By Car -- From Çanakkale, follow the signs south to Troy. You can't miss it.
Visitor Information
There is a visitor information office (no phone) at the entrance to the archaeological site (next to the Trojan Horse) where you can get an overview of the site as well as peruse reading materials written entirely in Turkish. At the time of this writing, the paint was drying on a world-class museum warehousing the findings from recent excavations of the site.
