Formerly a humble little breakfast diner a stone's throw from the dunes of the Outer Cape, Babe's is now the Outer Cape's newest place for ethnic cuisine. Chef/owner Peter Thrasher takes his inspiration from the Eastern Mediterranean and North Africa in preparing his cuisine. The menu, which uses vegetables from the chef's garden, changes often. Flavors taste wonderfully different, making this a perfect place for diners unafraid to explore. Dishes to try include Muhammara, a hummus-like spread served as an appetizer with special bread; chickpea and asparagus soup; Turkish lamb kabobs; Izmiri Krofte, a type of meatball dish with figs and peppers; and Moroccan chicken served in a clay pot with fresh herbs.
