Unassuming from outside, the Petit Hotel has been spruced up inside to offer bedrooms with spotless, functional bathrooms. What it lacks in luxury, it makes up for in reasonable prices and a central location, 10 minutes’ walk from both the Porta Nuova and Porta Susa train stations, and very close to Palazzo Madama and the Egyptian museum. A colorfully furnished breakfast room offers a morning buffet of breads, cheeses, fruit, and pastries, while the hotel restaurant/pizzeria, Marechiaro, serves Italian staples. There are better places to eat in the vicinity, but in warm weather it’s a pleasant place to can sit outside and enjoy people-watching along with your drink or meal. The hotel also has some slightly more modern self-catering apartments that come in standard and deluxe versions.
