Istria's first 18-hole golf course is a 7km (4 1/3-mile) wonder designed by Austrian landscape architect Diethard Fahrenleitner that sprawls from the sea, through vineyards and into woods as far as the eye can see from the two-story, glass enclosed clubhouse. The course offers a restaurant and four bars. Golf club membership is available or hotel guests can sign up for a single round or more. Tip: Northwest Istria can be hot and arid in summer, but Golf Adriatic is using stored rainwater exclusively to keep the course green.
