Getting There & Getting Around
The best way to get to and around the Upper Shannon area is by car. Although there is public transportation to major towns, you will need a car to get to most of the attractions. Among the main roads that lead to this area are the main Dublin-Sligo road (N4), the main Dublin-Cavan road (N3), N5 and N63 from Castlebar and the west, and N61 and N55 from the south.
