Whenever I'm in the region, my first thought goes to manti -- tiny delectable dumplings topped with a buttery garlic yogurt sauce. So it was no stretch that I'd wind up at Ahra soon after they opened. I wasn't disappointed. There are a number of other notable local dishes on the menu as well; I'd suggest the yaglama (lamb "pizza" drizzled in yogurt) and perhaps a plate of the house köfte. The setting gets an "A" too: a homey collection of dining rooms graced with stained-glass windows, carved fireplaces, and area artifacts.
