Frommer's Review
Tucked into the village life of the neighborhood of Esbelli, this hotel is a superb alternative if Süha's place is booked up, which it is prone to be. Like many hotels in the area, the Ürgüp Evi has polished up a group of caves and magically converted them into a collection of charming guest rooms. Traditional Anatolian moldings and intricately carved alcoves were kept in the renovation of the caves, creating yet another spectacular opportunity to sleep in a modern prehistoric world. The newer section reflects the best of the lot; bathrooms are ones you'd be proud to have in your own home, with delicate little touches like herbal soap and potpourri at the ready. The owners of the Ürgüp Evi certainly make you feel at home, as they've put their kitchen and laundry facilities at the disposal of guests.
