Planning a Trip

When you leave the train station, you will find that there is only one street leading away from it. Do not be disheartened by the mundane architecture of the little shops that fill the street, thinking you got off at the wrong station. Walk straight down Széchenyi utca for about 15 minutes until you run into Március 15 tér, where you will find a number of interesting buildings with history to share. Tourinform is located at 17 Március 15 tér (tel. 27/316-160; www.tourinformvac.hu). It is open 8am to 5:30pm daily. I will not cover places to stay since the town is small and conveniently located to Budapest. If you have a desire to stay overnight, check with Tourinform for information on accommodations.
