Frommer's Review
Overlooking a marina and the busy entrance to False Creek, just east of the Burrard Bridge, this casual eatery has one of the few outdoor dining patios on the Vancouver seawall. The patio is heated, and that's where you want to sit, enjoying a casual lunch or the busy brunch on Saturday and Sunday. The scene is as much a part of this place as the fusion-style food. During the day, when Fiddlehead Joe's is a cafe, you can sit and people-watch with coffee, a sandwich, dessert, or a glass of wine. More serious dining begins in the evening, when you can order small, medium, or large plates. Stick to the simpler dishes here. Large plates include dishes such as almond-crusted duck breast, pan-fried trout, and grilled rib-eye steak. The popular brunch includes skillet frittatas, corned beef hash with poached eggs and hollandaise sauce, and puff pastries filled with scallops, shrimp, and portobello mushrooms.
