Frommer's Review
A boutique hotel midway between Robson Square and the financial district, Le Soleil has the look of a glamorous French country manor, with crystal chandeliers, plush carpeting, and gilded ceilings. Except for 10 doubles, all the units are suites; for maximum space, corner suites are best. The problem with some of the units is that the sitting areas have no windows and consequently feel somewhat confined, despite the Biedermeier-style furniture and richly colored wallpapers and fabrics. Where Le Soleil shines is in its personal service, but if you're looking for a luxury boutique hotel, the Wedgewood or the Opus are more appealing.
Facilities:
Restaurant; access to YWCA fitness facilities next door; concierge; business center; 24-hr. room service; laundry service; same-day dry cleaning; nonsmoking rooms

Frommer's ranks every hotel, restaurant, attraction, shop, and nightlife establishment it reviews for quality, value, service, amenities, and special features using a star-rating scale, an expression of the strong compare-and-contrast opinions that are a brand hallmark.
Other ratings provide stars based primarily on price and amenities; the Frommer's star rating is meant to quantify the kind of intangible, experiential elements that help travelers make informed decisions.
The "baseline" recommendation is zero stars--every hotel, restaurant, attraction, shop, and nightlife establishment that Frommer's chooses to review is recommended; otherwise, we simply wouldn't include it.
