Frommer's Review
As yet another example of south Granville's ongoing gentrification, this formerly down-at-the-heels hotel was bought, gutted, renovated, and reopened with an eye to the budget-conscious traveler. The rooms are simply and adequately furnished; the suites have kitchenettes and sofa beds. To get any kind of view, request a unit facing Granville. The rooms are moderately larger and more comfortable than at the Ramada across the street. Keep in mind, however, that while quite safe, this is still a fringy downtown neighborhood where you'll see panhandlers and street kids.
Facilities:
Restaurant; bar; access to nearby health club; concierge; tour desk; laundry service; same-day dry cleaning; nonsmoking rooms
