Just a couple of blocks from English Bay on the edge of the residential West End, the Sunset Inn offers roomy studios or one-bedroom apartments with balconies and fully equipped kitchens. Like many other hotels in this part of town, the Sunset Inn started life as an apartment building, meaning the rooms are larger than at your average hotel. Request an upper floor since the views are better but the price remains the same. For those traveling with children, the one-bedroom suites have a separate bedroom and a pullout couch in the living room. All of the rooms were refurbished in 2008. The beds are comfy, the staff is helpful and friendly, and the location is great for this price.
