With no distinguishing sign outside, from the street this unusual B&B simply looks like the three-story 1926 apartment house that it is. But press button no. 5, and your hosts will welcome you into their unusual and surprisingly pleasant establishment, where you'll find five furnished apartments rented on a B&B basis. Not only is the house in a fantastic location -- directly across the street from Kits Beach, one of the most popular spots in Vancouver -- but every unit has a view of English Bay, downtown Vancouver, and the Coast Mountains. The ground floor has a newly refurbished and very nice little studio with a Murphy bed; the other units are much larger, with a living room, bathroom, separate bedroom (or two), and full kitchen. In the mornings, you climb up a spiral staircase for breakfast, which is served in a glass-walled solarium on the roof. One thing to keep in mind: In the summer, Kits Beach and Cornwall Avenue running past it are very busy; this can be either a plus or a minus, depending on your point of view.
