Admittedly, most of the year these are student dorms. And, admittedly, it’s a long way from downtown, which is a good half-hour drive away. But the UBC Conference Centre is in a lovely forested setting out on Point Grey, the rooms are actually pretty nice, and the price, well, that can’t be beat. The West Coast Suites are a little bit nicer, with stylish feature walls, full kitchens and balconies, and they are available year round. The other rooms vary from dormitory-style accommodation (with the kind of decor that will take you back to your freshman year) to shared rooms and private apartments. These are only available in the summer months. A continental breakfast buffet at the Student Union Building cafeteria is included with all rooms.
