The location couldn’t be better: a historic, 85-year-old old clapboard summer house near the southern entrance to Stanley Park, with lovely ocean and garden views. And it’s a perennial favorite, especially with visitors. Truth is, though, the building could probably use a little work, and so could the food. Still, the afternoon tea is always lovely, with homemade scones, tea sandwiches, fragrant teas, and a selection of sweets. And the seafood platter for two is a bounteous serving of crab, scallops, prawns, tuna, and more, most of it local and Ocean Wise. Plus who can resist the drama of the popular prawns flambéed with ouzo?
