Zornitza

There is no better setting for dining in Old Nessebar than Zornitza, a terraced restaurant that opens to the sea breezes and view. Add to that an attentive, friendly staff and superb food and you have a can't-miss combination. Menus are tourist-friendly, with selections translated into four languages and it is a popular stop for tour groups, but the food doesn't suffer because of it and the prices haven't been jacked up to gouge foreigners either. Try the fried salmon with dill or the veal with mushrooms, or one of the grilled meat skewers, but don't miss the bread filled with garlic and white cheese topped with yellow cheese. It's a cross between pizza and calzone that will make your taste buds dance. Tip: Zornitza has a sister restaurant, Sevina, next door with the same view and menu, and both are open year round.
