Planning a Trip

Getting There

By Bus -- Buses for Andritsena leave from the Stathmos Peloponnisiou (bus station for the Peloponnese) in Athens, 100 Kifisswiou (tel. 210/512-4910; www.ktel.org). There are several buses a day to Andritsena from Athens and from Argos, Tripolis, Olympia, and Megalopolis. General information on Athens-Peloponnese schedules is available at tel. 210/512-4910 or www.ktel.org.

By Car -- All the routes to Andritsena go through spectacular mountain countryside. The roads are excellent, but each winding mile takes about twice as long to drive as you might have anticipated.

Fast Facts

Everything you might need -- the bus station, OTE, post office, bank, police -- is clearly signposted on or just off Andritsena's main street.
