Frommer's Review
Tired of Venice's one-two punch of baroque and Byzantine? Check out the two museums housed in this late Renaissance palazzo on the Grand Canal. The first collection is the Museo d'Arte Moderna (Museum of Modern Art), which houses several works -- most of them bought during Venice's own Biennale over the years -- by the likes of Chagall, Kandinsky, Klimt, Miró, Henry Moore, Umberto Boccioni, Morandi, and Filippo De Pisis.
Up on the top level, also partially closed, is the Museo d'Arte Orentale, a collection of mostly Japanese artifacts, but also Chinese, Javanese, Siamese (Thai), Cambodian, and Indonesian pieces. There are rumors that this collection may eventually move to the Palazzo Marcello.

Frommer's ranks every hotel, restaurant, attraction, shop, and nightlife establishment it reviews for quality, value, service, amenities, and special features using a star-rating scale, an expression of the strong compare-and-contrast opinions that are a brand hallmark.
Other ratings provide stars based primarily on price and amenities; the Frommer's star rating is meant to quantify the kind of intangible, experiential elements that help travelers make informed decisions.
The "baseline" recommendation is zero stars--every hotel, restaurant, attraction, shop, and nightlife establishment that Frommer's chooses to review is recommended; otherwise, we simply wouldn't include it.
