Frommer's Review
Famous for its straightforward renditions of Adriatic classics, Remigio is the kind of place where you can order simple gnocchi alla pescatora (homemade gnocchi in tomato-based seafood sauce) or frittura mista (a cornucopia of seafood fried in clean oil for a flavorful but light secondo) and know that it will be memorable. It bucks current Venetian trends by continuing to offer exquisite food and excellent service at reasonable prices. The English-speaking co-owners, Pino, Fabio, and Gianluca, will talk you through the day's perfectly prepared fish dishes (John Dory, sole, monkfish, cuttlefish). You'll even find a dozen meat choices, such as Venetian liver. Dine in one of two pleasant but smallish rooms. Remigio -- less abuzz and more sedate than Alla Madonna -- is well known though not as easy to find; just ask a local for directions.
