Hotel Concordia ReviewThe big selling point here: It's the only hotel in Venice with rooms overlooking St. Mark's (technically, the Piazza San Marco, so what you see are the pinnacles and domes on the side of the cathedral). All rooms are nonsmoking, some of them in 18th-century Venetian period style, done in a floral motif, with ornate little writing desks, gilt mirrors, and Murano chandeliers. Some are done in a slightly scuffed Empire style, with a daybed in the little sitting area. Bathrooms are red marble, and though all rooms are perfectly nice, the Concordia really is all about those precious 15 rooms overlooking the Piazzetta and the Duomo. You have to tackle 27 steps before reaching the reception area and its elevator. If you ask, the hotel will provide you with a coupon for 10% off your bill at the parking garage in Piazzale Roma. Facilities: Note: This information was accurate when it was published, but can change without notice. Please be sure to confirm all rates and details directly with the companies in question before planning your trip. Related Features Deals & News

Frommer's ranks every hotel, restaurant, attraction, shop, and nightlife establishment it reviews for quality, value, service, amenities, and special features using a star-rating scale, an expression of the strong compare-and-contrast opinions that are a brand hallmark.
Other ratings provide stars based primarily on price and amenities; the Frommer's star rating is meant to quantify the kind of intangible, experiential elements that help travelers make informed decisions.
The "baseline" recommendation is zero stars--every hotel, restaurant, attraction, shop, and nightlife establishment that Frommer's chooses to review is recommended; otherwise, we simply wouldn't include it.
