Frommer's Review
Original columns and huge wood beams decorate the salons off the reception area of this 16th-century palazzo. The best rooms overlook the private brick courtyard, a shaded breakfast nook with a small, decorative pool, a hushed oasis save for the splashing of the fountain. "Standard" rooms are carpeted, with an early-19th-century style. In "superior" rooms, some beds have a small canopy curtain at the head, others are slightly lofted above the sitting area and flanked by twisting columns; some furnishings are 18th-century Venetian reproductions refreshingly done in brighter modern hues (in fact, each room follows its own, overwhelmingly strict, color scheme). Suites, with midsize sitting rooms and bedrooms, are done in a vaguely romantic style -- matching embroidered fabrics, half-testers, and the like. No. 105 has a great private flower-fringed terrace.
