Frommer's Review
A recent overhaul of one of Venice's venerable Grand Canal bastions put it back among the city's top hotels. Hidden down a tiny side alley just 2 minutes from Piazza San Marco, this hotel's Tiepolo and Regina wings sport eclectic early-20th-century European furnishings and modern fabrics. The Europa wing is decorated in traditional Venetian style. There's a cozy bar with tables right on the Grand Canal; elegant, airy salons; and professional service. Room rates vary greatly with season and view (Canale Grande rooms are priciest). As with any Westin hotel (or any other Starwood-owned hotel, for that matter), the best rates are found on their website.
