In 2003, the Remedio became the three-star annex of the four-star Hotel Colombina (situated just behind the annex, at Castello 4416, Calle del Remedio), and it remains, by Venetian standards, a spot offering unusually large and quiet rooms with fine antiques (and good reproductions) in an ancient palazzo around the corner from one of St. Mark's busiest streets. Most rooms are on the second floor (no. 27 has lovely ceiling frescoes) off a ballroom-size corridor, and they feature modernized, if small, bathrooms, and TVs with VCRs (movies in English are available at the desk).
