Bordered by roses, oleander, and ivy, the flagstone patio/terrace of this contemporary building is a lovely place to enjoy breakfast, with coffee and tea brought to the table in sterling silver pots. The kindly owner, Emilia Gonzato, her son Gianangelo, and his wife, Alessandra, oversee everything with pride, and it shows: The large rooms are simple but bright and clean, with modular furnishings and a print or pastel to brighten things up.
