Midway between downtown and Mocambo beach is this family-run steakhouse. The steaks are expertly cooked and served Argentine style. They should be eaten Argentine style, too, meaning you should wash them down with ample amounts of wine. You'll find a large wine list for the purpose. The bife de chorizo (rib-eye) is the most popular cut. Also, you might want to try the Argentine empanadas or the jugo de carne, a rich and satisfying essence of beef. El Cacharrito is around the corner from the Hotel Lois.
