Planning a Trip

Getting There -- Seventeen trains depart Budapest's Déli Station daily for Veszprém with some taking as little as 1 hour and 45 minutes on one of the two IC trains. (It's a 2 1/2 hr. trip if you take a regular train.) Tickets cost 2,160 Ft ($12/£6.15) for an IC train including the supplement, while on other trains the fare is 1,770 Ft ($9.55/£5.05) and the trip is longer. If you're driving take the M7 to the lake, then take Route 71 to Route 72 leading into the city.
