Located in James Bay on a quiet street corner not far from the bustle of the Inner Harbour, the Oswego Hotel is an understated gem. Built in 2007 and big enough to require two elevators, the Oswego feels like a much smaller, contemporary boutique hotel. About two dozen of the units, which range from 400 to 800 square feet, are studio suites, while the rest are one- and two-bedroom suites with fully equipped kitchens. All of the rooms feel spacious, and even the studios have separate sitting areas. Floor-to-ceiling windows and balconies that overlook the tranquil neighborhood help create a sense of space, while deep soaking tubs with separate showers provide an added touch of comfort. There's live jazz in the hotel's O Bistro on Wednesday nights.
