Especially for Kids

The greatest attraction for kids is the Prater Amusement Park, but kids will also enjoy performances at the Spanish Riding School; climbing the tower of St. Stephan's Cathedral; and visiting the exhibition at the Natural History Museum. And nothing quite tops a day like a picnic in the Vienna Woods.

Other worthwhile museums for children include the Zirkus und Clownmuseum (Circus and Clown Museum), Karmelitergasse 9 (tel. 01/21106), a tribute to clowns and circus performers throughout the centuries; and the Wiener Straasenbahnmuseum (Streetcar Museum), Ludwig-Koessler-Platz (tel. 01/7909-44900), which commemorates the public conveyances that helped usher Vienna and the Habsburg Empire into the Industrial Age.
