K + K Hotel Maria Theresia

The hotel's initials are a reminder of the empire's dual monarchy (Kaiserlich und Königlich -- "by appointment to the Emperor of Austria and King of Hungary"). Even the surrounding neighborhood, home to some major museums that lie just outside the Ring, is reminiscent of the days of Empress Maria Theresa.
