It's artsy, chic, and central, right next to the Albertina and the Vienna State Opera. Working with designer Terence Conran, the owner of das Trieste, Manfred Stallmajer opened the Guest House in 2013. In this boutique find, not only is the furniture high-end, but the general feel is that one is the guest of an affluent and generous friend. The Suite 802 for instance has an espresso machine, wine refrigerator, and a Bang & Olufsen flatscreen TV. The bathrooms have separate tubs and rain showers and to top it all off, non-Catholic beverages, beer, and wine from the minibar are included in the room price. Downstairs is a brasserie and bakery, available to both guests and passersby. They serve great salads and small meals besides breakfast and have quickly become a downtown favorite.
