Spread across a bluff outside Esperanza that overlooks a pristine swath of the southern coast, this resort’s top selling points are its lush grounds and the serenity it affords guests. TV, in-room phones and children under 16 are all forbidden here. As well, a Mediterranean spirit runs through the property, evident in the mosaic path that cuts through tropical vegetation, its soaring lobby, and the regal infinity pool (one of the best on the island; there are also tennis courts and a gym). Lodgings are in the main building and scattered in a handful of cottages, and are all decorated with antiques and eclectic furnishings, though some could use a bit of TLC (they’re not dirty, just a bit old, with scuff marks and chipped furniture here and there). Still, the location near Esperanza is convenient and the grounds are lovely.
