Las Delicias del Mar

Las Delicias serves inspired seafood dishes in a comfortable, plant-filled environment, with attentive service. The restaurant is one of the best bets in town for fresh fish dishes, which former TV chef Raul Madinagoitía executes with flair and imagination. Each recipe has a story; the crema de almejas soup is an homage to a humble Hamptons clam chowder, while the Corvino Dicaprio -- sea bass steamed with crab, mussels, shrimp, and white wine -- was baptized in honor of the eponymous Leonardo following his recent visit. The excellent paella, prepared according to a centuries-old traditional Spanish recipe, is always a hit. The wine list is also one of the most discriminating in Viña and the classic desserts, such as the crème brûlée, have the power to stir heavenly rapture. There is also a sister restaurant in Reñaca.
