When all you want is a light meal and a well-prepared cocktail, Barlovento fits the bill. Considering this, it is an ideal spot if you're looking for a relaxed night out but a scene that is lively. Barlovento is popular with the young adult crowd, and it can get busy on weekends. Barlovento's minimalist look of cement, steel, and glass exudes a city-chic atmosphere. The second floor has wraparound windows, and there is a subterranean wine cellar for tastings. The menu features a few heartier dishes such as steak and pasta, but it's mostly wraps, sandwiches, salads, and appetizer platters to share among friends. The bartenders here really know how to make a proper cosmopolitan and a bloody mary, not easily found in Chile. Barlovento often has live DJ music on weekends.
