Viñales has a couple of low-key little bars on the main road through town and if you're lucky, there might be a concert taking place at the local Casa de la Cultura, or the Patio de Polo Montañez, both of which are located right on the central plaza, just off the church, or at the nearby ARTex shop, Patio del Decimista. The scene at either Los Jazmines or La Ermita is dependent upon the type of groups and guests in residence. When it's happening, my favorite spot is the Discoteca Las Cuevas, which is located at the entrance to El Palenque de los Cimarrones . Flashing lights and loud music get an atmospheric boost from the hanging stalactites. There's a cabaret-style show here most evenings beginning around 11pm; admission is CUC$5. However, most of the tour agencies in town offer a nightly package to the bar for around CUC$8 to CUC$10 per person, including round-trip transportation, admission, a half-bottle of rum, and a couple of soft drinks.
