Planning a TripArriving By Train -- The nearest rail station is at Nelas, about 24km (15 miles) south. For train information, call tel. 808/208-208. Buses run from Nelas to Viseu; the fare is 4€. The fare from Lisbon to Nelas is 16€. By Bus -- Eleven Rodoviária buses per day make the trip from Coimbra in 1 hour and 15 minutes. By Car -- Viseu lies near the center of the modern expressway, IP-5, which cuts across Portugal. IP-5 hooks up with the Lisbon-Porto motorway.
