Four Points by Sheraton, Washington, D.C. Downtown Review

This contemporary property offers complimentary Internet access, an indoor rooftop pool with lovely city views, a 650-square-foot fitness center, and an unbeatable location close to both the convention center and the Verizon Center. Add in reasonable rates and fine hotel amenities and you've got a good choice for both business and leisure visitors.

A recent refurbishment switched out shower curtains, drapery, duvets, chair upholstery, and assorted other features in the retro-stylish guest rooms. Guests have a choice of rooms with two double beds or one king-size bed. Corner rooms (there are only about 10) are a little more spacious than others, but these book first, so are seldom available.

The hotel is a "Green Seal" certified property, committed to following ecofriendly practices. The hotel is a nonsmoking property.

Facilities:
Restaurant; bar; executive-level rooms; fitness center; indoor heated pool on rooftop; room service

About Our System

Frommer's ranks every hotel, restaurant, attraction, shop, and nightlife establishment it reviews for quality, value, service, amenities, and special features using a star-rating scale, an expression of the strong compare-and-contrast opinions that are a brand hallmark.

Other ratings provide stars based primarily on price and amenities; the Frommer's star rating is meant to quantify the kind of intangible, experiential elements that help travelers make informed decisions.

The "baseline" recommendation is zero stars--every hotel, restaurant, attraction, shop, and nightlife establishment that Frommer's chooses to review is recommended; otherwise, we simply wouldn't include it.
