The Quincy Review

The Quincy remains a more affordable option in this expensive part of town. Its "conservative contemporary" decor goes for a bright, very 21st-century feel. Suites are large and comfortable; about 28 are equipped with full kitchens, while the rest have wet bars (minifridge, microwave, and coffeemaker). All guest rooms are furnished with pillowtop mattresses, sectional sofas, flatscreen TVs, complimentary high-speed Internet access, and double-paned windows. The Quincy has direct access to Mackey's, an Irish pub right next door, and to Recessions, a lounge on the lower level serving American/Mediterranean cuisine.

Lots of extended-stay guests and repeat customers bunk here and are often rewarded for it with goodies in the room or complimentary room upgrades.

The Quincy is a nonsmoking property.

Facilities:
Restaurant; bar; concierge; free passes to the well-equipped Bally's Fitness Center nearby; room service

About Our System

Frommer's ranks every hotel, restaurant, attraction, shop, and nightlife establishment it reviews for quality, value, service, amenities, and special features using a star-rating scale, an expression of the strong compare-and-contrast opinions that are a brand hallmark.

Other ratings provide stars based primarily on price and amenities; the Frommer's star rating is meant to quantify the kind of intangible, experiential elements that help travelers make informed decisions.

The "baseline" recommendation is zero stars--every hotel, restaurant, attraction, shop, and nightlife establishment that Frommer's chooses to review is recommended; otherwise, we simply wouldn't include it.
