Frommer's Review
The Quincy went upscale in a renovation completed in 2007, adding pillowtop mattresses, sectional sofas, flatscreen TVs, complimentary high-speed Internet access, and double-paned windows to all rooms. It remains a good value for all that it offers. (Another example is the free access it gives guests to the nearby, full-service Bally's Fitness Center.) The top-to-bottom transformation evinces a "conservative contemporary" decor, so that the overall design is brighter and very 21st century. Suites are large and comfortable; about 28 are equipped with full kitchens, while the rest have wet bars (minifridge, microwave, and coffeemaker). The Quincy has direct access to Mackey's, an Irish pub right next door, and to Recessions, a lounge on the lower level serving American/Mediterranean cuisine.
Lots of extended-stay guests and repeat customers bunk here and are often rewarded for it with goodies in the room or complimentary room upgrades.
Facilities:
Restaurant, bar; concierge; free passes to the well-equipped Bally's Fitness Center nearby; room service

Frommer's ranks every hotel, restaurant, attraction, shop, and nightlife establishment it reviews for quality, value, service, amenities, and special features using a star-rating scale, an expression of the strong compare-and-contrast opinions that are a brand hallmark.
Other ratings provide stars based primarily on price and amenities; the Frommer's star rating is meant to quantify the kind of intangible, experiential elements that help travelers make informed decisions.
The "baseline" recommendation is zero stars--every hotel, restaurant, attraction, shop, and nightlife establishment that Frommer's chooses to review is recommended; otherwise, we simply wouldn't include it.
